Second Verse, Same as the First

Except it's not the second verse, it's the fifth in six weeks.

Snowstorms, that is.

Another week, another storm, another sleepover for my mom.

I'm now at the point of shovelling the snowbanks out of the way to make room for more snowbanks.

It's good exercise if you don't have a heart attack.

I'll be back when things clear up :)

I wonder if having a dog would make winter better? One thing I know, it was easier to find memes of dogs having fun in the snow than it was to find cats ..........😀

Stay safe, stay warm, stay sane(ish).
And thanks for the smiles. I suspect the cats are all hunkered down in their blankie forts.

I love the memes! Be careful with all that snow. Can you get a neighborhood boy to shovel for you? That is a popular way the kids like to make a little money here. Hopefully you won't have too many more big snows, but I know even we can get snow in March. I imagine your cats are good at finding the warmest spot in the house!

Yikes! You're getting battered out there! Hunker down, stay safe, and good luck. (And thanks for the memes - I laughed out loud at the German Shepherd's perfect sine wave.) :-)

Like EC says, stay safe and warm...
We have two more storms coming in, but not much snow so far

Good luck with your mom and the weather. We haven't gotten any new snow or even rain since December, and it's looking like another dry winter up here. Still ice on the ground, though, but it disappears about a hundred yards down the road from here.

I feel like that dog with its head in the snow bank.

Elephant's Child: Sane(ish) is all I'm really hoping for, and have so far managed - fingers crossed. Cats in blankie forts are the best :)

Bonnie: I've been promised the name of a man who hires out to clear driveways, and need to follow up on that. If it doesn't pan out, I should try to find a teen as you suggested. Our neighbourhood was built about thirty-five years ago and it was mostly young families who moved in, like us. Now our kids are grown and gone, and any families moving in now have small children. I haven't seen a teenager in a long time, but I'm sure they're out there! Probably on their computers just like I am. lol

Diane: That set of prints was pretty amazing, wasn't it? It's a reasonable representation of how my cat walks when I'm on the way to refill the food dish, too :D

gz: Thank you - this snow is very fine in texture so it's not pulling down tree branches and power lines like all the other storms did, thank goodness! Good luck with your storms too.

Doug: It's strange that you have all that ice and there is none just a little distance away. Strange, and unfortunate! Any idea how that happened?

Marie: LOL! That's just what I thought when I saw it, too! Good luck with your snow clearing :)

No offense, dear heart, but I'm glad it's your snow. Our pile up (to six feet!) is beginning to melt, and that in bright sunshine and 10 degree high. Fahrenheit!

May your snow melt soon and your mother do as well as possible under the circumstances.

Thanks for the funnies!

More snow? yikes. I liked seeing the dogs having fun, a cat would never do that.

Our dog loves to catch snowballs. She can't get enough.

Holding mu thumbs for you and your mother. I envy you the snow, but not the showelling. Thanks for these funnies. I like dogs better than cats, it seems, at least in snow.

You have to feel a bit like that dog in the last meme. :) Hang on tight!

Hang in there! Spring is coming!

Stay warm and keep laughing...Sending hugs!

Joanne: You've had your share (or more than your share) of snow!

Mimi: Your good wishes are appreciated.

River: I agree :)

Mike: Would you like some more snow as a gift for your dog? :)

Charlotte: Thank you. I had to look up "holding my thumbs"; it's not an expression that we use!

Mary: Pretty much. lol

Steve: I'm counting the weeks. Soon I'll be counting the days :)

e: Can use the hugs, thank you :) (and sending some back to you and Lukas)

Can you hire someone to help shovel? That's a lot of snow!
