Diary Of A Sick Donkey. And Funnies.

If you didn't catch my Friday post last week, you can go here for some background.

Day 1:  A simple sore throat. I don't think I'm going to get this bug as badly as my husband did.

Day 2:  Still just a sore throat. A tad worse, but still - I don't think this will be too bad.

Day 3:  Woke up with sandpaper in bronchial tubes. How did that get jammed down there? Still - not as bad as I would have expected judging by husband's illness.

Day 4:  Sandpaper and a cough; still - not horrible - must have stronger immune system than husband. I am still vertical and functioning.

Day 5: WHOA NELLY I'M DYING I'M DYING I'M DYING COUGH COUGH COUGH COUGH COUGH

Night 5:  WHOA NELLY I'M STILL DYING THERE'S NO END TO THE COUGHING AND WHO INSTALLED A TAP IN MY EYES AND NOSE

Day 6:  PLEASE SOMEONE KILL ME I'VE GONE THROUGH ALL THE TISSUES I'M USING MY RESCUE INHALER I'M USING DECONGESTANT I CAN'T SEE I CAN'T BREATHE I CAN'T SMELL WHERE IS ALL THIS FLUID COMING FROM????

Day 7:  Stay tuned ..........

I hope you all have a healthy week, but if it's too late for that wish, I hope you all recover soon.

And if THAT's not going to happen either, I hope you at least have something to laugh at :)

      Don't worry, I'm keeping my ick to myself :) I've cancelled two outings and rebooked two medical appointments, and called in sick to work!

    Oh dear! It caught you! It’s a bad one this year. I’m so sorry. Rest up. Lots of fluids. As much sleep as the coughing will allow. Get better soon my friend.

    And a question: with the never ending flood of mucus why is it that after a heavy cold we aren't many pounds lighter? Snot fair.

    Oh dear. Somehow you have caught Manflu. The funnies are great. I've seen calves entangled with heads in milk buckets like the cats are in their food bowls.

    Feel better soon, Jenny.

    I spent time with my grandson yesterday and he had a croup-like cough. Hope I avoided it but it’s so hard not to cuddle him.

    May you be feeling much better very soon.
    That's my cheap version of an Irish blessing. Sometimes it works, sometimes not so much.
    Did anyone ask the dog whether it wanted the touching? It hardly seems fair if not.

      Thanks, Cherie - I seem to be over the worst of it now, thankfully! You know how there are just new symptoms every day for awhile and then things start to recede? I'm there :)

    you haven't lost your sense of humour so i think you might make it!

    I love ALL of the funnies for the week. especially the one with the dog in the hammock. And the cat sharpening his claws on his tongue. And the one with the cute furry thing...

    i truly hope ,wish and PRAY that may you and your hubby be blessed with complete health soon ,amen!

    each time when weather changes it happens here too ,people get sick for no reason and all starts with one member of the family and transfer to whole family

    i am in awe of you my friend ,with heart full of prays !

    absolutely loved these funnies ,they made me smile though i don't know how i do i look while smiling when my eyes are heavy with flu and sneezing which entered in it's last few days (hopefully)
