This will be our first Halloween here, and according to Beth, we get mobbed by trick-or-treaters. And since the evacuations have mostly been lifted from the neighborhoods to the North and East, she's heading off to Costco for candy...
Wow, crop sharks, that's new, must be hard for the squirrels and gophers around those parts.

Oh my, yes today is the first day of the rest of November. That's as far ahead as I'm comfortable looking lately. Thanks for the fun, Jenny! You're remarkable.
Beth knew just what she was talking about. She came home with three grocery bags full of candy and now there's one bowl of it. She hung black lights above the porch and we just pretty much stayed by the front door and handed out candy, with Littlebeast the black cat prowling around and looking extra halloween-y. There were some excellent costumes, but a lot of them were lost on me as I haven't seen the movies they were from. One little boy was a perfect Col. Sanders in an immaculate white suit and white hair, eyebrows, and beard. Beth said that usually later in the evening the teenagers get kinda lazy and greedy, but they didn't last night; all of the kids were remarkably well behaved.
That cat lady meme made me grin. It's the 2nd November and I'm just wondering where October went, and panicking because it's only 2 months until Christmas.
Oh, wow - a lot of kids! But you can always go out today and stock up on candy at half price!
I don't usually recognize movie characters, either. And we usually get teenagers, some of whom don't even make the slightest effort to dress up, but this year - only one group, and the guy who wasn't dressed up didn't come to the doorway to get a treat. Shocking!

These were hilarious, especially that mini cat lady :) That is such a great costume! Happy Halloween.
Exciting day for all kids, and some adults.

It's funny, I never think about November having any funny stuff in it. But, in my opinion, sillies never go wrong!
Genius idea, innit?
I really don't know where the year went. Whoosh!
I'll have to say Happy November now that Halloween's over for another year, e!
Yes, that last one isn't really funny at all, is it? Only too true.
I just love that photo!
I loved it when I was growing up, and even when my kids were growing up, but now? Not really.
Well, now, I wonder how many trick-or-treaters you ended up getting??
And if visitor numbers were not as expected, just think about the bonus candy you have :)
As EC said, ouch - not really funny - but a clever play on words.
The world needs fun in the worst way, if you ask me.
And now Happy November, Mimi :)
She's pretty adorable, isn't she? :)
It was fun seeing all the little kids dressed up, and they were all very polite, which was nice!
LOL, Arleen!!!
I enjoyed sharing them, PT - thanks for reading!
Trick or treatment is brilliant. I also enjoyed the shark meme a lot.
Success! :)

And you're very kind, Geo.
Yes, at some times, it doesn't do to look ahead too far, does it? Enjoy (or endure) the moment, and move onto the next one.
Are you planning your granddaughter's costume for next Halloween yet? lol
Yeah, I hate to tell you this, but it's LESS than two months until Christmas . . . :)

November is scary indeed, but not as scary as The Empty Food Bowl! Thanks for the LOLZ! :-)
Our cats would agree!
If that little girl knocked in my door I'd give her the whole bowl of candies!
She's pretty adorable all right!
Thanks for visiting :)
