Work has ramped up again. Add in a visit to our daughter and her family yesterday (a ninety minute drive each way) and I was a tired old granny by the evening.

I'll be back on Monday with a "vacation days" poem ... I hope :)

Rest up Jenny. It’s Friday!
Your fawns in the earlier post charmed me but it seems that I was going to comment "later" and forgot to come back! what a special thing to happen.
Enjoy your weekend, you deserve it!
Looking forward to your new poems! :-)
Great pictorial explanation.
Lovely kitty basking in the sun...who needs to fight dragons when there is sunshine to lay in.
That's cute! (And too true sometimes.) I hope you have a restful weekend and regain your energy. :-)
And it's a good thing, too :)
It takes me three days to recover from one of these visits, so by Monday I should be fine :D
Thanks, Nicky -- I hope my brain starts working!
It is, isn't it? I wish I had the knack of punning.
Cats know how to live :)
Me too. Bleh. I'm so tired!
I really know that 'running on empty' feeling and hope it passes you by quickly. Have a wonderful restorative weekend.
That cat seems better behaved than our furry little terrorist, who got in a very loud fight in the back yard last night and is missing fur in a couple of places...
See you Monday!

A few naps are in order. I hope you enjoy them!
Lullaby and goodnight . . . I'm singing to you. Close your eyes. Rest.
Love,
Janie
Yes. the slaying of dragons can wait. Get some rest and power up. Have a wonderful weekend.
When I worked, I always said that the ride home on Friday was the best half hour of the week. Expectations of rest and relaxation were usually better than the actual. Enjoy some down time.
Have a peaceful and restful weekend. Sounds like you really earned it!
I'm so looking forward to it, and now it's here - hurrah!
Oh no! Cats can do a lot of damage to each other. Sometimes the damage can get infected and cause an abscess, which is hard to see or feel until it gets really bad (because of all the fur). I hope your kitty is okay.
If I get to have a nap, trust me, I'll enjoy it :D
But I'm typing! I can't ... r..e..s...t....
*snoring like a freight train*
Thanks, Mr. S - you also :)
That's true, isn't it? Maybe that means relaxation is partly a mental thing. When we let go of the week, it allows us to feel better right away.
I have a book and I'll be reading it :D
Hi Jenny, I hope it’s a good book. Even with books you can pick a stinker.
Too often lately I'm feeling just like that kitty, but it will pass, I'm sure of it.
It's turned out to be mediocre but I've had a good run lately so a bad one was due, I guess!
Most things and times do pass, you are right. We just have to plod through them!
I imagine being a tired old granny after such a visit is the best thing ever!
I wish we lived closer to each other; I find the drive tiring and I don't get there often so the children aren't really comfortable with me. Whine, whine :)
I had my daughter and Granddaughter staying for the weekend, and now I need another weekend to recover. :D No actually my Granddaughter is a little angel it's my daughter that's exhausting. :D
That sounds familiar! I usually need three days before I feel back to myself again :)
