Join Diane, Delores (I hope,) and me as we turn to a clean page in our poetry-writing books and talk about our hopes/dreams/wishes/plans for the upcoming trip around the sun.
If you'd like to write a poem too, you may leave it in the comments on any of our blogs, or post on your own blog; if you do the second, please let us know in the comments so we can come along and read and cheer you on. Use the topic, or another of your choosing.
It doesn't have to be a long poem, it doesn't have to rhyme, and it doesn't have to be filled with big words or big ideas. Experiment, make it "you," and have fun!

"And For The Tenth Year In A Row, I Resolve To . . ."
This is the year I will lose fifty pounds
I'll eat all my veggies and not lie around
I'll re-find my waistline, wave Bye to one chin
In fifty-two weeks, oh THE SHAPE I'LL BE IN!

Some of the reasons I need this resolution:

Thank you to everyone who commented last week. Luckily, my spot of sadness passed with the holiday, and I'm back to myself again. I appreciate the support and kind wishes, and hope you all had some good things in your holiday season.
See you next week. In the meantime, Happy New Year!
What are YOUR plans for 2019? Do you ponder and plan the year ahead or do you just dive right in and take it as it comes?

What is this word, P-L-A-N??
I hope to lose 10kg while eating what I like, achieve world domination and have enough money for two more dogs and a paid dog walker. I can dream!
Love your poem. And sadly resemble it - though I hope that gardening counts as at least some exercise.
I am so glad you are feeling better.
By the way, I love the critters you feature!
Well good luck with those plans girl.....I think I'll likely have more luck with mine lol. Love the lazy kitties
Just eat 2/3 as much. Don't eat between meals and/or after supper. Lay around in the winter, but pull weeds and go for walks in the summer. There, that is all my advice. Happy fifty two new weeks.
Happy 2019! ⏳
I typically just let things unfold. Too much pressure making resolutions and such things. Just live one day at a time.
Happy New Year!
In 2019 I hope to find us somewhere to live, preferably in the East Bay, and hopefully soon, as we agreed to move around the first of the year, and that's tomorrow.
As to resolution-y stuff, I guess I'll go with the same one as last year and hope (and try) for better results:
To play my guitars more.
I'm glad you're feeling better, and I hope you and your family have a good 2019.

LOL! It costs nothing to dream, right? :)
Of course gardening counts as exercise, and from what I've read and been told, it's a very good kind. Thank you for rooting for me, EC. I appreciate it.
I forgot to credit icanhas.cheezburgers.com!
Ha ha - I think I'll have more luck with yours, too :D
Happy fifty-two new weeks to you, too, Joanne :)
The same to you, too, John!
The laid back approach - I like it :)
Happy New Year, Martha!
Thanks, Doug - the same to you. And I hope you get to play more too.
I laughed out loud at "New high score!" Ignorance truly is bliss. I'm not a year-planner or a resolution-maker, so I'll wait and see what 2019 brings to me. Wishing you all the best in the new year! :-)
This reminds me of that joke I saw: My New Years resolution was to lose 10 pounds. Only 15 to go. Happy new year Jenny! Wishing you a blessed 2019.
Congratulations on your Canadian blogger of the year award fro Yorkshire Pudding.
And to you, Diane!
Hahaha! Happy New Year!
Thanks, Red :)
I am more of the take it as it comes type. I can't stop it or change it. The only thing I can change is the way I process it. Always trying to get better at everything.
Don't allow the fame to go to your head.
Ah, cats! They ooze wisdom.
Is that wisdom they ooze? I thought it was sarcasm!
That's a resolution right there, Jono - that last sentence :)
lol
Jenny! That was funny and fun to read those silly pets. Good stuff. Happy 2019 and here's to kickin' butt.
Thanks, Ivy - the same to you!
Loved the poem, jenny_o, and I wish you much success in your endeavors. I'm looking forward to reading all about it in 2019.
Thank you, Mr. S - I hope I have something to write about :)
Haha loved the poem and the memes! Happy New Year to you Jenny!
Thanks, Joey - and to you as well!
Haha this is so hilarious dear Jenny :)
Thank you so much for the gift of smile and laughter in new year :)))
This is such a delightful news that your sadness phase has passed and you are back in form by the grace of God!
I hardly plan for new year, just believe in slow and steady progress in each aspect of life!
Wishing you happy New year filled with health peace and prosperity each step my friend !
Hugs !
