hahaha! a promotion every day for that guy! they will eventually run out of places to send him and that's when he knows it's time to make a new video :)
Ha ha! It's funny how the comments tend to be divided along a nationality split - Americans finding it funny and others not so much. Maybe the accent is somewhat of a barrier.
Lucky you! I'm noticing a divide between the reactions here. Americans (and me, a Canadian) finding him funny and others finding him more irritating. As I said in another reply, I see him not as irritating but as poking gentle fun at himself and his region, the same as we do here.
I enjoy his humour. Part of it for me is his accent and his colloquialisms, which may not translate so well for other parts of the world (as you may have seen in the other comments).
Many of my friends are way more obnoxious than this guy. And Idaho? Wisconsin? Meh. The best potatoes I have ever run across were grown in Tule Lake CA, right on the Oregon border. The whole area is an ancient peat bog and the potatoes and onions they grow there are to die for.
I discovered (to my chagrin) that the potatoes we grow on Vancouver Island don't taste as good as the ones grown on the prairies. I'm sure Charlie could work up a few jokes about that. ;-)
right now hubby was praying so i could not hear loud ,yes when it comes to English or Persian i have to hear it loud so words enter in my head clearly and i can have least probability for misunderstanding .i will definitely watch it again and let you know what i felt :)
i too had great love for reading and watching interviews of people who are successful in life .a great source to learn what is difference between them and those who leave behind . thank you for sharing hugs!
Humour NEVER goes astray. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteMind you I can see just how irritating he would be to have around...
Indeed :)
DeleteActually, I've seen interviews with him and he seems to be a very nice person, humble and likeable.
Funny, in a very irritating sort of way.
ReplyDelete:)
DeleteEducation with amusement.
ReplyDeleteI don't think it's supposed to be educational, just amusing :)
DeleteI guess that's funny, but I wouldn't be watching more of him.
ReplyDeleteSorry, River :) You're apparently not the only one!
DeleteHe's a funny one okay! But, I can't say I would want to work with him. ; )
ReplyDeleteNo, that's the point, I think . . . it seems this guy's humour isn't to everyone's taste, though :)

ReplyDeleteI find his videos to be gentle pokings at himself and where he lives; maybe I like it because I identify with it. Humour in our region is similar.
DeleteLove those “padaedas” as islanders say.
ReplyDeleteAnd Islanders know their padaedas! (New Brunswickers as well :))
DeleteLaughing...thanks!!
ReplyDeleteGlad you enjoyed it, e!
DeleteHeeheehee! Thank you.
ReplyDeleteAnytime, Mimi :)
DeleteI think I agree with Joanne, although a bit more irritating. :D

DeleteCharlie is one of my favorite comedians. I have tickets to see him next month.

DeleteIt does seem to be a regional thing. :-)
DeleteBought me a much needed smile, thanks
ReplyDeleteI'm glad, John - smiles are good :)
DeleteI've seen some of his other videos. He's very funny.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Janie

-Doug in Sugar Pine
Now I wish I could try them - I do like potatoes and onions and to have them be even better than usual? cool :)
