To Let You Know

My husband passed away just after midnight, January 7.

You have all been so supportive through his illness, and I wanted to let you know.

There is so much I could say, especially about the last six weeks, but the words seem to be stuck inside me.

Maybe later I will be able to get them out.

For now, please know I am okay ... sort of. I have already grieved so much in the last nine months.

I have plenty of support from family, friends and neighbours.

I can still hardly believe he is gone forever.

He was a good and kind and smart and funny man. I miss him so.

  1. Oh Jenny, I am so sorry. You have all my sympathy, love and support. I've been thinking of you both so much recently. I can hardly imagine how you must be feeling. I am grateful to hear that you have support from family, friends and neighbors. Give yourself all the time you need and take one day at a time. How I wish I could help you. I wish I could give you a big hug but I guess it will have to be a virtual one. I care. xxx

  6. I'm so sorry, Jenny. I think I understand about so much to say and the words being stuck. Really, every other thing is insignificant in the face of him being gone so how does a person write those things?
    As you say, maybe later.

My very best, warmest hugs are coming your way.

  10. Very sorry to hear this. No need for words. Sometimes there aren't really any words.

Take the time for yourself that you need. Dealing with grief is a long, back-and-forth process. I'm glad you at least have people nearby for support.
