Topic For Next Poetry Monday

Hello, Poetry People!

To be sure we are all on the same page, I wanted to clarify that the topic for next week is A Childhood Hero, suggested by Diane.

I've updated my post for this week to reflect this.

Onward with sharpened pencils -- or shiny keyboards -- we go!

Hopefully I haven't caused you to feel like this . . .

Some days really feel like that, don't they? :)

LOL! I've worn that expression many times... sadly, though, I didn't look as cute in it as the kitteh. ;-)

My brain is a damp fizzer at the moment, and any explosion would be minor.
An intriguing topic - and I wonder whether our childhood heroes retain their place in our heart.

My brain blew up long ago!

Yes, there are times i wish i could just chuck it all and run away from home so my brain doesn't explode.

A Childhood Hero -- i will have that in my head for about five minutes, and when i go to write the poem, heaven only knows where it will be, so i will probably be back to look again...

To use another animal comparison completely, it's the "deer in the headlights" look!

I've been having a good rummage around in my brain on this topic, and that thought crossed my mind, too, EC.

LOL - but it seems to work just fine in spite of that, Janie :)

You have an exceptionally busy life, Mimi. I don't know where you find time to blog!

It's a good thing I don't participate in Poetry Mondays, I don't recall having a childhood hero.

I remember the six million dollar man! Haven't thought of that in years!

Thank you, baili, and happy summer to you, too :)

jenny_o said...

Me either, River! This will take a lot more thought :)

I look forward to reading about childhood hero, jenny_o. I also enjoyed the cat meme. Have a good one.

I don't know. I can't remember what I did five minutes ago.

I look forward to it, too, Mr. S - at this point I still haven't figured out what that poem is going to look like - lol

I'm not sure how, but it will happen, Diane!
