My Banana Buddy

I found this on my banana last week.

I took it as a message from the universe :)

Has your food ever spoken to you?

  2. You can write secret messages on bananas by scratching the skin lightly with a fingernail. They don't appear right away, so you can, as a friend of mine used to do, write bizarre or inspirational messages on them in the supermarket that (hopefully) won't appear until some lucky shopper gets home with them.

    1. Is that just your jello or do other foods do that too? You must have a ferocious look to you!! :)

  4. Yes.
    Taco Bell.
Well, maybe more like my body speaking to me about it's unhappiness with my food choices.
    Hope all is well.
    Take care.

    1. Ha ha! And doesn't Taco Bell call to you BEFORE you eat it?

  6. How many people would ever have seen that on a banana. Good eye!

    1. I'm thinking most kids would have noticed it. That tells you something, doesn't it? :)

  7. I would take that as an omen of good things to come. I hope your weekend reflects that.

    1. Thanks, Arleen - and it's an equal opportunity banana (it told me so), so hopefully everybody who sees it will have a good weekend :)

  8. I wanted to respond to your question on my blog, jenny_o. I didn't really grow up in one spot as my dad was in the military so maybe that's why I like staying in Idaho so much. Idaho was the last base we were at before he retired.

  10. Well, that put a smile on my face! What a happy little banana :) Reminds me of our old banana advertisement, na na na na na na, na na na, make those bodies sing etc you can find it on youtube.

    1. I did indeed find it on YouTube - very catchy! That's the first I'd heard it. Glad you got a smile, River :)

  11. To see a smile is always good!
If you look at the mountain trademark on a Toblerone pack you can see a prancing bear. Or is it just me?

  13. What you see on the banana is what I've been calling sight auguries for years. They can be as obvious as a street sign, or a small bit of paper folded just so and laying the gutter, revealing a few interesting words, or spots on a banana skin.

Entomology online has this to say about the word augury,
    augury (n.)

late 14c., "divination from the flight of birds," from Old French augure, augurie "divination, soothsaying, sorcery, enchantment," or directly from Latin augurium "divination, the observation and interpretation of omens" (see augur (n.)). Sense of "omen, portent, indication, that which forebodes" is from 1610s. Often in plural, auguries.

For those of us who believe that this reality that we live is only an illusion of sorts or another dimension to a very complicated multidimensional world, those little images are often filled with communications. It's all based on if we're willing to listen.

Yes, you were being prompted to smile. What an awesome message/augury to receive. And it was your message, that's your banana. Keep listening, there's lots of information out there if your willing to listen to it.

To those engineers that are reading this and having trouble sitting quietly in their chair, I'm an engineer too. My first recommendation for understanding this is watch Harvey, with Jimmy Stewart and Cecil Kellaway among others... “Fly specks I tell you...”

    :)

    Have a great day...

    1. Interesting thoughts, Unknown!

I don't usually publish comments from unknowns or anonymouses, because they are usually spam. I've made an exception in this case, but if you comment again, please add your name at the bottom - thanks :)

  15. I like your smiling banana! My fruit hasn't spoken to me lately (for which I'm grateful), but I do frequently notice little faces in the pattern of my floor tiles. That can be a little disturbing...

    1. Yikes - that sounds like my wallpaper! I hope they are happy little faces rather than the stern ones here :)

  17. Late to the party, but enjoying it, anyway! A fellow blogger posted a picture of her cat's litter box a while back and it had a smiley face done in cat poop!

  20. What a happy banana. I don't think I've ever found a message on food, except knowing that if I eat certain things I'll regret it.

    Love,
    Janie

    1. Hah! I get that message too, Janie. It's not quite as happy, is it?

    2. It's not happy at all. I have some food sensitivities. I'm grateful they're not allergies.

  21. Maybe that's where Meghan Markle got the idea from when she was writing "Uplifting" messages on bananas here in the UK recently. Actually, I assume she isn't Markle anymore is she?

How did I make this post about her rather than bananas?

    1. LOL! It's related, I can follow it, it's all good!

News sources are still calling her Markle, so you're good there, too :)
