Lazy Friday

It has been a quiet week here. My poem is all ready for next Monday, but what can I write about today?

It certainly hasn't been a quiet week in the rest of the world. But I have no heart to write about natural disasters, humanitarian crises, wars, political machinations, or even arts and entertainment.

Instead, I return to the icanhas.cheezburger website.

Well, maybe just one political statement first . . .

Not confined to just one politician. Many are behaving badly at the moment. And some of them are Ma'am, not Sir.

Now on to other things:

A lazy Friday here at Procrastinating Donkey . . .

Hope you have a lazy day in your calendar soon. Unless you like the other kind of day; then I hope you have one of those :)

  1. Lazy days are frequently good days. Very good days.
Love the smiles you have given us today - and hope your weekend is full of them. And indeed your life.

  2. Haha, I have to say the stretchy pants one is my favourite.

I'm not a fan of lazy days really, I tend to just get down and fatter. :D

    1. Well, you can have one of those *other* kinds of days, Joey, and leave the lazy days for the rest of us :)

  4. Love the funnies. I haven't been to that site in so long, it would take me several weeks to catch up on everything I've missed.

    1. I know! I think the quality of the captioning is going downhill, though, but I'm grateful it's still running and still free :)

  6. Oh yes I agree the first one will definitely apply to the majority of the politicians, no matter which party.

I have had days where I needed my brakes checked too ha ha.

  7. Yes, kitty, if I get down on the floor, then I can't get up. My daughter's dog used to help me up. I would say, Help Mama. She'd run over and sit down so I could lean on her as I slowly arose from the floor. She was quite a large dog and so adorable.

    Love,
    Janie

    1. Getting old is ridiculous in so many ways, no? That was a smart dog as well as adorable.

    1. Welcome, Marie, and thank you for reading!

I make sure I get down on the floor every other day so I'm sure I can still get up - and some days it's not easy :) (I sit on the floor to brush one of the cats)

  15. Very cute, although I still can't look at cats without tearing and the last one did me in despite being funny.

    1. It's rough when you lose a furry one, no doubt about it. And that last guy does resemble your beautiful Jacob. I'm the same with cats that remind me of ones we've had. I especially can't see an all-white cat without that lump in my throat. Thanks for coming by, e. How are you doing with the reno and storm repairs?
